Georgia Association Of Groundwater Professionals

Welcome to the Georgia Association of Groundwater Professionals (GAGwP) website (formerly Georgia Drillers Association). We are a statewide, non-profit trade organization representing contractors engaged in the design, sales, installation, maintenance, service, and repair of water wells and irrigation systems for residential, agricultural, mining, commercial, and industrial, and institutional customers. We are like-minded professionals whose efforts supply twenty-one percent (21%) of all of Georgia’s water needs. We also help manage our state groundwater resources which is one of the most precious and important resources. Groundwater resources will continue to play an ever-increasing important role by supplying vital water supply to the citizens of Georgia. We must continue to work together to implement long-term comprehensive plans to sustain and improve Georgia’s ecosystems, water supply, and water management.

Tucker Green

Executive Director

Having long held an interest in politics, government and entrepreneurship, Tucker Green found an inspiration in the form of his grandfather, whose involvement in small business and state politics helped lead to his career. Since graduating from the University of Georgia, Tucker has distinguished himself on the Pickens County Board of Education, as a lobbyist where he was named one of the top Five Rising Stars in the state and is proud to serve as the Executive Director of the Georgia Association of Groundwater Professionals (GAGwP) and is owner of Tucker Green and Associates, Inc.

Ryan Thompson

President

Ryan Thompson started with the drilling industry in the early 80’s while still in high school. In 1994, Ryan began his full-time career drilling, starting with Sanders Well Drilling in Moultrie and moving to Harvey Drilling where he finally bought into the company in 1999. Today he is the majority shareholder and president of HT&T Well Drilling Corporation. In 2020, Ryan was elected the President of the Georgia Association of Groundwater Professionals. Using this platform, he has advocated for Georgia drillers and pump installers rights; going so far as to meet with EPD leaders and the Governor’s council to keep them up to date on GAGwP issues.
